Bank – ATM Service

The nearest ATM’s are located in the local newsagents opposite the Nisa convenience store and in Uncle Toms Cabin located on the Queens Promenade. (There is a charge for withdrawals)

The newest free ATM’s are at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Redbank Rd Bispham and at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Talbot Rd. opposite North Pier.

Bar

The opening times of the bar are from 6pm until 11pm daily.  If no one is present at the bar then please press the bell (at the bar) and someone will come to assist you.

The bar area is no smoking area.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin is located just a couple of minutes walk away and has discounted drinks Sunday through Thursday and free live entertainment from 9:00PM on Friday and Saturday with late closing times. Stanley Casino is also just around the corner and offers a wide selection of beverages and is open almost 24 hours.

Blackpool Airport

Blackpool airport is fifteen minutes by taxi from our B&B hotel. Jet2 flys daily to Blackpool or you could try Flight Line to get the best prices on flights.

Breakfast

The hotel restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and guaranteed breakfast timings are usually between 09:00 through 10:00. Through holidays, weekends and illuminations the times are extended. (Please check with reception) Your room number is also your table number when entering the breakfast room. (Business Guests who require breakfast at earlier times may feel free to request an appropriate time that best suits them)

Help yourself to the buffet and order tea/coffee at the table. You may also order items from the kitchen. Please allow at least ten minutes from the time of placing the order to being served. Breakfast is included with your room rate. Additional breakfasts are charged at £7.50 per person. If there are just a few guests dining for breakfast, hot buffet items are to be ordered directly from your server.

We do try and source all our produce locally as best we can with only the brand named products being purchased from the super markets.

Business Center

Faxes can be sent and received at reception (See faxes for pricing). We are also able to offer a photocopying service on request which is free of charge for the first five copies and 10p per additional sheet.

Free WiFi (Wireless Internet Access)

Wireless Internet access (Wifi) is available FREE of charge 24 hours per day. The network is high speed broadband and is identified as ‘Sky68360’. The best location to access the net is in the bar however the signal does reach the bedrooms on the top floor if you would like to surf the net in your room.

Check-In/Check-Out

Check-in time is from 14:00 onwards, however guests may register from 12:00 mid-day to collect their keys and leave their luggage if rooms are not ready.

Check-out time is 11:00am. If you are given a later check out, please settle your bill prior to 10:30am so that you can simply leave your keys at reception when you depart. During busier times you may wish to settle your bill on the evening prior to departure. You may then just leave the keys on reception after breakfast. If you have seen alternative times advertised on the Internet, please advise us of the site in order for us to update it.

Cots

Cots are available as a complimentary special request item through the front desk.

Credit Information

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Please add 2% to your bill if you wish to pay by credit card and 50p per debit card transaction.

Doctor

The NHS Walk-in center is on Talbot Road 01253 655871 however in an emergency call for an ambulance 999.

The taxi firm we recommend is called BlackTax 01253 596596 who will take you there directly to the walk-in center or to Victoria Hospital the local A&E hospital in Blackpool.

Dry Cleaning

A dry cleaning service is available at the launderette on Holmfield road just two minutes away. If you are here on an extended business stay we will be more than happy to arrange weekly collections and deliveries for you. Please check Sunday opening times carefully and be aware that the launderette is normally closed on Bank Holiday Mondays.

Faxes

Faxes can be sent and received at reception. The hotel fax number is 01253 352741.
Incoming faxes are complimentary and will be delivered to your room as soon as possible.

Faxes can be sent at the front desk. Outgoing faxes are £0.50 per page-local, £1.00 per page-long distance, and £2.00 per page-international.

Fire Emergency

The hotel is fully equipped with fire prevention devices. For your additional safety, please familiarise yourself with the fire alarm locations, exit routes, and fire safety guides. This information is posted on the back of each guest room door.

Housekeeping

Rooms are serviced daily between the hours of 11:00 – 14:00.

Please leave any towels you require changing in the shower basin. If we are unable to access your room during these times we will unfortunately be unable to service it.

You may ask for additional towels, soaps, toilet rolls, and room refreshments (teas and coffees).

Iron and Ironing Facilities

Please ask at reception and an iron and an ironing board can be provided in the dining areas.

Reception

There is a bell located at the bar which can be pressed to gain assistance.

There will always be someone in the hotel to assist you.  If for any reason no one comes to assist you please call me.

My number is available 24 hours a day.

Laundry

The launderette is located on Holmfield Road. (Out the front door turn left towards Nisa and then first right, walking to the next block where the launderette is located on your right)

Please inform us if you require us to collect any laundry on your behalf prior to the closing time of 5:30pm.

Lost & Found

For articles lost or found, please contact reception.

Mail

You may hand any outgoing mail to reception. Postage charges will be added to your bill for payment upon checkout. Mail received at the hotel will be delivered to your room as soon as possible.

Newspapers

There is a selection of daily papers available in the front lounge each day.

Please do not take them to the rooms as they are for the benefit of all the guests.

Parking

Parking is unrestricted in the local area with the exception of the street parking in front of the butchers on Holmfield Road. If you have difficulties parking we will help you locate a parking space.

Pet Policy

We regret to inform you that we have a ‘No Pets Policy’ in the hotel.

Pleasure Beach

The Pleasure Beach is approximately 4 miles south of the town centre. It is worth visiting the newsagents / Nisa Supermarket to check out the tram and bus passes that are available.

Postage Stamps

Postage is available at current postal rates at the front desk. If there is no postage available we will arrange postage and charge it to your room bill.

Reservations

The easiest way to book with us in the future is to call us direct on 01253 352 741 and book that way. We have not increased our prices for the 2009 season!

Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel (please see the enclosed Breakfast). Guaranteed breakfast timings are 09:00am through 10:00am. Through holidays, weekends and illuminations the times are extended. Please check with reception.

We are working on our evening meal offering however at present we are unable to offer this service.

Showers

To operate the showers please ensure that the pull cords inside the bathroom or red switch outside the bathrooms are on prior to use. If your shower has a control to flow the water, just gently turn on the supply. A gentle supply of water will ensure you have a pleasant shower. A movement of water akin to Niagara Falls will give you the impression the shower doesn’t work.

Smoking

This B&B is totally non-smoking and follow on guests do not appreciate a ‘crafty fag’ in the bathroom!  It is quite embarrassing to have to ask guests to stop smoking in the rooms.

Swimming Pool

The best swimming pool is ‘Sand Castle World’ which is located opposite the Pleasure Beach on South Shore. Please do not take your hotel towels. Ask at reception and we can loan you towels specifically for this purpose.

Take Aways

Whilst food and drink are not permitted in the rooms we would ask that takeaways are consumed in our lounge or dining area. We will even supply you with a few of our favourate Takeaway menus!

Guests may ask for plates and cutlery and we do not charge for this service.

Tariff

All our prices are quoted per room. A Double en-suite is for two people sharing whether they are adult or child.  Family rooms are for two adults and two / three children.  Adults and children under six are not permitted to use the top bunk on our bunk beds.

If breakfast is not included it is available for £7.50 per person.

Taxis

BlackTax are available 24 hours per day on 01253 596596. Please ensure you are available to travel 5 minutes BEFORE pick up time as BlackTax are extremely efficient. Taxis can hold up to eight people so make sure you state the numbers in your group if thee are more than four of you traveling.

Telephone Charges

Unfortunately we do not have any facilities for offering telephone services except in emergencies. We can however order taxis for no telephone fee.

Tourist Information

A selection of tourist information is available in the entrance area of the hotel. The Tourist Information office is located near the town hall opposite the North Pier.

Wake-Up Service

All rooms have an alarm clock however please let us know if you require any assistance with an early morning wake-up. (As long as it’s not too early)
