The 24th to the 26th of December and the 30th 31st with the 1st January are the only times of the year we do not allow children under the age of 18. This allows for a quiet hotel where adults do not have to keep a check on what the children are doing thus allowing them to sit in the bar for a drink, nip to one of the local shows or pop round the corner to the local casino for a little flutter.

For just fifty pounds per night per person (minimum three night stay with two sharing) we offer Bed & Breakfast with ALL drinks included (Alcohol and soft drinks) so no need to go out to the local pubs and spend a small fortune when you can drink away in our quiet lounge and mingle with our other guests.

Plus we will offer a Buffet style dinner on the 25th December and the same on the 31st. (No evening meals are provided on other dates however we do allow takeaway menu’s to be used and provide crisps and things in the lounge)

We will provide a Christmas  and New Years day Lunch Buffet that will include the following:

Carbohydrates: Mash, roast potato and fried rice

Veg: Brocoli, Carrots and Green beans

Meats: Turkey Legs, Honey Roast ham and Garlic and lemon chicken wings

Finger foods: Philippines style Spring rolls, Mini pork pies and mini sausages in bacon

Desserts: Christmas Cake, Cheesecake and Tiramisu

Europe largest Elvis Presley contest is coming to Blackpool 8th 9th 10th January 2010!

Elvis Presley possibly the most influential entertainer that the world has ever seen has increased in popularity even in the time of death. Sadly passing away in 1977, Elvis has still entertained the world through the millions of impersonators that sing and mimic the American born singers huge array of songs.

My personal favorite song of Elvis is ‘Always on my Mind’ which was covered back in 1987 by the Pet Shop Boys of all people and became their best selling single. So to remind ourselves of the original here it is:

The Elvis contest and convention is the largest one ever held in Europe and will attract thousands of impersonators from around the world who will watch the three stages of heats and then witness the crowning of Europe’s best Tribute to Elvis.

The contest will hosted at the Norbreck Castle Hotel Blackpool, which is a mere two miles from us in the North Shore Blackpool, either a brisk stroll for 20 minutes or a 2 minute taxi ride. (Remember it is January!)
