The New Kent Hotel would like to offer a very warm welcome to visitors from the George Formby Society. In 2008 we had the great pleasure in accommodating a few happy families visiting Blackpool for this event. Please bring your favorite DVDs and enjoy them in our warm spacious lounge on our 32″ Plasma TV. The lounge is fully licensed serving sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks for all the family.

I personally remember watching George Formby films with my Nanny Smith when I was a small boy as I think he was one of the biggest stars during my Nanny Smith’s younger days. My favorite song is “When I am cleaning windows” which always brings back memories I have of my childhood and of my Mothers Mum me Nan.

The New Kent Blackpool would be delighted to be the hosts of any George Formby conference goers and welcome anybody who can play a Ukulele.
